TVPikoma Buffering? 9 Fixes That Work

Most IPTV buffering comes from the home network or the app, not the service. Work through these nine fixes to get TVPikoma running smoothly.

Wi-Fi router with fast data light trails for smooth TVPikoma streaming

1. Restart everything

Turn off your router, modem and TV device, wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on (router first). This clears memory, resets your connection and fixes a surprising number of TVPikoma buffering problems.

2. Test your internet speed

Run a speed test on the device you watch on, not on your phone next to the router. You need at least 10 Mbps for HD, 20 Mbps for FHD and 30–50 Mbps for 4K. If the result is much lower than your plan, the problem is your connection. See TVPikoma internet speed requirements.

3. Use a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi

An Ethernet cable is the single best upgrade for IPTV. If that's not possible, connect to the 5 GHz band of your Wi-Fi (often named with “5G”), move the router closer to the TV, or add a mesh access point. On Firestick, use the HDMI extender for better reception.

4. Lower the stream quality

If a 4K channel buffers, try the FHD or HD version of the same channel. TVPikoma offers several quality levels on many channels, so you can match the stream to your connection.

5. Clear the app cache

IPTV players store a lot of data (EPG, posters, playlists). Over time, a full cache slows them down. On Firestick and Android, go to Settings → Apps → [your player] → Clear cache. Don't clear data unless you're ready to log in again.

6. Change the player or its settings

If TVPikoma buffers in one app but works in another, the app is the problem. Try a different player, or change these settings:

  • Switch the stream format between HLS and MPEG-TS.
  • Switch the video decoder between hardware and software.
  • Increase the buffer size if the app allows it.

7. Check that you're on one connection

Each TVPikoma subscription includes one connection. If TVPikoma is open on another device at the same time — even paused in the background — streams can stop or buffer. Close the app fully on other devices.

8. Try a VPN (or turn yours off)

Some internet providers slow down video streaming at peak times. A good VPN can bypass this throttling. On the other hand, a slow or distant VPN server can cause buffering. Try with and without. More in should you use a VPN with TVPikoma.

9. Contact TVPikoma support

Still buffering? Message TVPikoma on WhatsApp with your device, app, the channel name and the result of your speed test. Our team checks the servers in real time and can switch you to the best one for your location — 24/7.

Frequently asked questions

Why does TVPikoma buffer only in the evening?

Evening buffering is usually caused by internet provider congestion or throttling at peak times. A wired connection or a VPN often helps.

Why is only one TVPikoma channel freezing?

If one channel freezes but others work, try its alternative quality version or let TVPikoma support know so we can check the source.

Does clearing the cache delete my TVPikoma login?

Clearing the cache does not remove your login. Clearing the app's data does.
